Reiki

Reiki is a vibrational, subtle energy therapy facilitated by light touch, which balances the bio-field and strengthens the body’s ability to heal itself. It is increasingly used as adjunct to conventional medical care both in and out of hospital settings all over the world, as it is one popular and effective system of energy work emphasizing physical, emotional and mental healing

Reiki can be used to help us with meditation practices, spiritual growth, healing relationships, manifestation of goals, and activating the divine healing power within all living beings. Reiki is a tool to help us develop "wellness consciousness" and also to understand, on an experiential level, what it truly means to be “we are all one” or "one with all creation".

Dr. Mikao Usui rediscovered this healing therapy in Japan in the late 1800s. Reiki was Usui's expression of truth. The Japanese Kanji characters that represent the word Reiki can be translated to mean; Rei = Spiritually guided or wisdom of God and Ki = Life force energy or chi or prana or shakti.

Reiki is practiced at the first level, second level and master level. The energy or life force is channeled by reiki master to student through the process called “initiation or diksha”. It opens the heart to expand love consciousness. Reiki is a secular enlightenment system and a healing system. In the west, it is primarily taught as a healing system. It allows you to heal yourself and others by laying on hands and distant healing.Healing is done either hands on or by distance healing.
